The danish success story behind the sugaring-masters-method
I made my own body awareness the benchmark for my business.
I started out as a chemical product manager in Germany and the USA; It was only relatively late – in my late thirties – that I switched to the entrepreneurial camp.
From the very beginning, my goal was to take waxing and sugaring to a new level in professional cosmetics for gentle and permanent hair removal.
The first inspirations for this came from my youth, where I found a role model in my German godfather, who back then was ahead of his time in matters of personal hygiene and skincare for men.
It all started with hair removal back in 2007
Since 2007 my mission has been to bring beauticians and their clients together in certified-sugaring-studios. And thus guarantee the sought-after quality of sustainable skin-friendly hair removal for women, men and teenagers.
At this point, we also have to talk about the WOW-effect induced by our METHOD. After the sugaring-master treatment, customers often talk about the myhairfreeskin “magic”. It unfolds when the customer experiences the sensation of velvety soft, hair-free skin after the epilation with sugarpaste. And leaving the studio with a smile on their face.
The first product…
My first professional cosmetic product at that time was the proteolytic enzyme “Epilar” for enzymatic hair reduction, also developed in Denmark.
This later resulted (after 400 laboratory tests) in the epiladerm hair removal system including professional sugaring products.
The Epilar enzymes were a sensation at the time, but required the use of waxing. For that reason a high level of suffering during the depilation was still part of the treatment. I experienced this first-hand before we started with sugaring. The film sequence below describes this painful experience (when hot strip waxing meets its limits):

After this painful self-experiment, it quickly became clear to me: we have to invent a new advanced way of sugaring so that no one is exposed to such stress during depilation/epilation anymore and beauticians can do without hearing protection in the future too.
In 2007, the first white-transparent epiladerm sugar pastes and enzymecomplex were launched on the market.
In 2024, our new brand “myhairfreeskin sugaring-masters” including its powerful productline, business- and skills- oriented sugaring-career took over!
Since then and still today, our sugaring-master-method has often been characterized as a true wellness hair removal. Less stress for the skin and associated with relaxation and joy as well as sustainable reduction of hair regrowth, no ingrown hairs and also much appreciated improvements in skin condition and appearance!
The conclusion
Since 2007, I have been bringing innovative sugaring and enzyme products to the market. Many know me also from companies like Andersen Medical, Epilar, Olav Friis Cosmetix, Danish Laboratories, Danlab Ltd., and EpilaDerm, as well as from the Beauty Awards.
I have experienced the world of sugaring like few others and know exactly what it takes to build a profitable and sustainable business in permanent hair removal.
Unfortunately, I have observed a lot of nonsense in the industry in recent years.
